Buy Domain Names From GoDaddy
written by Keith James LockI was asked recently where I buy my domain names from. The answer for the past 4 years has been GoDaddy. The prices are great and the Domain Management Control Panel is super easy to use. I buy a lot of domain names so it was important to find them cheap with easy management and full control. Included with every domain at GoDaddy you get a 25 MB email address and 100 email forwards. When transferring your domains to GoDaddy from another registrar you also get a complimentary 1-year extension.

Remember that your domain registration information (name, phone number, address, etc.) is publicly available when someone performs a WHOIS query. And, since ICANN (the company that manages and enforces rules for domain names) requires accurate registration data for your domain names, you cannot use false data to hide from snoopers and WHOIS spammers. There is an affordable solution however. GoDaddy has developed a privacy registration system and for an extra $6.99 per year you can keep your domain info secure from prying eyes. I personally think it should be a free service but the price isn't too bad after all.
Don't forget, you don't need a hosting package for every domain that you buy. You can host unlimited web sites using one hosting account as explained here.
